Coyotes That Howl at Night is a collection of stories from students in the After School Tutoring Program at 826LA in Echo Park. Over the course of the semester, students brainstormed, drafted, and revised their work which explored the themes of family, community, and Los Angeles. Students wrote detailed accounts of their most memorable family traditions and composed heartfelt, playful poems about that special person (or pet) in their family. Inside you will find students' reflections on their favorite activities, places, people, and moments in their very own communities. Our students also penned descriptive letters to family members and friends, explaining to them why they should visit our very own City of Angels. Sit back, relax, and let our thoughtful, imaginative young authors take you on a tour of their worlds.
