In Off to a Treacherous Corner, Ms. Ok's physics students discover the science in their lives. As students reflect on topics such as the science of baseball, social interaction, and outer space, they shed light to the elements of science that subtly sustain their daily routines. This collection of prose and poetry reveals that science is not merely the chemical reactions observed in a flask or the dense scientific terminology in a heavy textbook. Science is around us and in all of us. Using their imagination, creativity, and knowledge, Ms. Ok's students will show you what science means to them.
Written by the students of Ms. Ok's 12th grade physics class at Manual Arts High School.
